My dad is ill today and while my mom is here, ,she's no good at driving so I'm staying home just in case. ngl I'm not complaining;, while today's the first day of classes for the week, it's also the first day of my days off from work. This school/work schedule is awful. XD

I keep saying I want to start keeping up with this journal; I think I'm actually going to really try, fandom-wise. The fun I have with tumblr comes and goes and lately it's been gone more than it's been present. It's just overall a really toxic environment, at least for me. People can be great and then suddenly they're huge assholes. Everything's a black or white issue; you're either with us or against us. Middle ground is absolutely not allowed.

life update

Classes have started! And this has easily been one of the most stressful semester starts I've ever gone through. I wasn't going to be able to afford to keep my painting class (although it's a requirement and also I'd been really looking forward to it because apparently it goes into a lot of color theory and I really need help with that, my colors are so blah) but my advisor and painting professor both stepped in and talked to the chaplain because apparently exceptional students with financial need can get assistance outside of financial aid or something? Anyway, the school ended up paying for my painting supplies so I get to keep that class. ;3; I dropped sculpture (which is NOT a requirement so idc) and picked up an online class to keep 18 hours.

So yesterday I binge watched Kamigami no Asobi. It was pretty great. I mean, it was slow and cheesy but the heroine was sweet and not at all annoying. I wish the game had an English patch, I would play the hell out of it. |3 And lo, I'm watching anime again! I'm going to check out Uta no Prince-sama as well as Hanasakeru Seishounen. I'm basically here for reverse harem anime, what can I say? XD

Oh man. The past...month has been pretty rough. My car has basically been one big headache (sometimes it won't start! I think I know why - it has to to with the key and the anti-theft stuff. I have to put the key in straight and then turn using the ears, not the key itself - fortunately since I know this, I can be super vigilante about doing it right), our power was out for eight hours a few days ago (we have a generator so it could have been a lot worse!), and now my dad's jeep is acting up. It's been pretty awful. ._.

I watched North & South last night and now I want all the period piece romantic dramas forever. |D I honestly only watched it for Richard Armitage but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it!
